Abstract
In the micro-medium-macro perspective, the study of academic schools of Chinese medicine belongs to the medium level, which is more comprehensive than the study of distinguished doctors at the micro level, flexible and diverse compared with the basic theories at the macro level, and more closely related to practice. The perspective of the medium-range theory is conducive to rationalizing the differences in academic schools of Chinese medicine by paradigm, technique, style, and organization (region), and to analyzing in depth the relationship between theoretical unification and practice diversity.
