Reflections on Emergency Education for Emergency Events in China in the Post-Epidemic Era

  • Emergency education is an important part of emergency management, because it can enhance the public's emergency awareness, as well as the self-and mutual-rescue ability. However, emergency education in China started late and has not been given enough attention. In the prevention and control of the epidemic of novel coronavirus pneumonia, emergency education has not played its proper role. In the post-epidemic era, the public's emergency concepts and living habits have changed significantly, providing new opportunities for the development of emergency education in China. Combining the characteristics of the post-epidemic era, we deeply analyze the development opportunities facing emergency education in China at present and put forward reference suggestions in four aspects, including cultivating emergency awareness and values, integrating emergency education resources, strengthening social participation in emergency training and exercises, as well as establishing scientific effect evaluation indexes, to provide new development ideas for advancing emergency education directing at emergency events in China.
