Abstract
General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on effectively utilizing the"Great Ideological and Political Course" for nurturing talent are rich in content and serve as crucial guidance for advancing the high-quality development of ideological and political education courses in higher education institutions in the new era. The construction of the "Great Ideological and Political Course" in the new era imposes new demands on the practical education of ideological and political courses in universities, in terms of teaching methods, practical subjects, content systems and educational spaces. As key institutions for inheriting traditional Chinese medicine culture and cultivating high-caliber Chinese medicine professionals, traditional Chinese medicine universities still face practical challenges in their educational practices, including insufficient awareness of practical teaching, fragmented and isolated practical resources, and a lack of collaborative efforts in practical education. In light of this, guided by the "Great Ideological and Political Course"concept, this study explores educational pathways integrating Chinese medicine cultural characteristics from three dimensions: establishing a "broad perspective", building a "big platform" and constructing a "holistic system", innovating teaching content, integrating teaching resources, and improving the education mechanism. It aims to provide insights for practical education in higher education ideological and political courses, promoting the comprehensive development of university students through the unity of knowledge and action.
