Invisibility and Silence: Dilemma and Breakthrough of Ideological and Political Teaching in Colleges and Universities in the Era of Intelligent Media

  • In the era of intelligent media, ideological and political theory courses in colleges and universities have new opportunities, but also face new challenges. In ideological and political classrooms, some students are present but in a hidden and silent state. The wide application of intelligent media has a strong impact on ideological and political classrooms, mainly manifested in the algorithmic domestication of the information ecosystem, which interferes with college students' identification with mainstream values; the input of multi-source information dilutes students' attention in classroom learning; the reliance on technology dulls thinking and reduces students' enthusiasm for active thinking; and virtual social interaction leads to emotional alienation, affecting the interaction effect between teachers and students in ideological and political courses. The practical dimensions for enhancing students' initiative in ideological and political courses in colleges and universities in the era of intelligent media can be explored from several aspects, such as emotional resonance, innovation in teaching scenarios and discourse expression.
