Abstract
Judith Farquhar breaks the dominant discourse position of biomedical science in the world, insists on seeing and researching traditional Chinese medicine, and pays attention to the body and diseases of traditional Chinese medicine. From the first anthropological work focusing on the clinical practice of traditional Chinese medicine in 1994, to the observation of the daily diet and lifestyle of Chinese people in 2002, the observation of health preservation in Beijing in 2012, the overall contemplation of traditional Chinese medicine in 2020, and the anthropological observation of ethnic minority medicine in 2023, Judith Farquhar has been consistently concerned and reminiscing about China's diverse medical and health culture for more than 30 years. From an anthropological perspective, traditional Chinese medicine research mainly focuses on three concepts: the body viewpoint, the concept of "things", and the traditional Chinese medicine habits in daily life.
