ZHOU Juan
2022, 23(2): 71-77.
Abstract:
Xi Jinping's important discourse on people's health is an important element of Xi Jinping's socialist thought with Chinese characteristics in the new era. The theoretical basis, historical reference and the need of the times of Xi Jinping's important discourse on people's health are the Marxist thought on health, the positive and negative experiences of New China in safeguarding people's health for more than 70 years, as well as the practical need of safeguarding people's health rights and interests and promoting people's health welfare in the new era. Xi Jinping's important discourse on people's health is rich in ideological connotations, which is specifically shown in the followings. To let public build and share health together, the Communist Party of China (CPC) should always adhere to the core value orientation of "people first and health first"; uphold the concept of health-oriented, all-round, full-cycle protection of people's health, promote health fairness and accessibility, enhance people's health rights and interests together with their well-being, and eliminate the limiting factors relevant to people's health. Xi Jinping's important discussion on people's health is in line with Marxist thought on health, and is a concrete application of the concept of "massive health and public health" in the practice of safeguarding people's health rights and interests, as well as guaranteeing people's health and safety. In addition, it is a scientific guide for safeguarding people's life security and health in contemporary times with vital practical value and practical significance.

A Study on the Dilemma and Countermeasures of International Communication of Chinese Medicine Culture - Take YouTube as an Example
FANG Ping, QIAN Fang
2022, 23(2): 84-89.
Abstract:
The emergence of new media has changed the main way of communication and information acquisition, and created a new path for the international communication of Chinese medicine culture. Through comparing and analyzing the top 100 popular videos about Chinese medicine culture on YouTube, we found that international audiences have a single understanding towards Chinese medicine culture with their main interest in Chinese medical treatments. However, with difficulty in converting Chinese medicine language, it is hard to communicate the theoretical connotation of Chinese medicine. In addition, due to the insufficient use of the new communication medium of social media and the particularly insufficient supply of communication contents in Chinese medicine culture, there is a lack of high-quality video resources. Therefore, regard to Chinese medicine culture, we should pay attention to its theoretical communication, and strengthen its construction of audiovisual quality content in social media through guiding and playing the main role of netizens. On top of that, we should strengthen the monitoring of public opinion towards it, and make full use of new media to make it really "go global".

2022, 23(2): 90-96.
Abstract:
Through combining traditional Chinese medical thoughts with modern medical technology, acupuncture anesthesia has become an innovative achievement in the history of Chinese medicine. During the development history of more than half a century, it has gone through the process from "hot" to "cold", and then back to the original medical position. The birth of acupuncture anesthesia is an important opportunity for acupuncture to go global, which greatly promotes the international development of acupuncture. This historical process shows that: acupuncture anesthesia has fully demonstrated the scientific value of acupuncture. In addition, the national attention to acupuncture anesthesia is an important support for the internationalization of acupuncture. At the same time, the internationalization of acupuncture also needs the efforts of overseas Chinese and the support of policies from other countries.

LI Jia-xuan, XUE Xu-sheng, ZENG Feng
2022, 23(2): 97-101.
Abstract:
By investigating the specific contents of the Important formulas worth a thousand gold pieces of classification version from the Northern Song bureau for revising medical book, it is found that the official minister of Song dynasty comprehensively rearranged the book in accordance with the principles of similarity in content, reasonable logical relationships, rigorous classification, as well as uniformity in arrangement and style. In addition, the chapter structure became more rational, and the ordering of the information on the theory, method, prescriptions, and medicines became neater and more regular, which not only facilitated the understanding and practical use of the book, but also strengthened the application of the clinical prescriptions from the book. The classification revising method used by the official minister of Song dynasty has changed the basic composition of books, resulting in differences in academic connotations. On top of that, some of the previously proposed historical perspectives on medicine based on the revised books of Song dynasty need to be re-examined. To effectively use the documentary materials of the medical books from Song dynasty, the study and use of the medical books of Song dynasty requires a full understanding of the changes in the text caused by the classification revising method used by the official minister of Song dynasty.
A Study of Hu Hongji's Thought on Public Health
ZHU Chuan-lei, LI Yong-chen
2022, 23(2): 102-107.
Abstract:
Hu Hongji, as the director of metropolitan medical services, was the first person to apply modern public health theory to the construction of urban public health in China. He also introduced a complete concept of public health and gave a high-level generalization of its nature, content, purpose and methods for the first time. His public health thought is reflected in the following: Prevention of infectious diseases is the policy of health administration; Prevention of infectious diseases among the poor in shantytowns is the focus of health administration; Perfect vital statistics is a prerequisite for the development of public health; Socialization of medicine is the way to solve the problem of high mortality rate among the poor; The strength of the nation depends on whether families and schools pay attention to children's health; Children's health is the responsibility of both families and schools; Rural sanitation is no less important than urban one. The formation of this thought is closely related to his professional background in public health, his life experience and the national conditions of modern China.
A Study on the Factors Influencing the National Elderly Population's Intentions to Retire and Reside
SUN Shi-ni, YAO Zheng-rong
2022, 23(2): 108-115.
Abstract:
Based on the data from the 2018 Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS), an empirical study was conducted on the factors influencing the national elderly population's intention to retire and reside using unordered multinomial Logistic regression analysis. The results showed that the majority of elderly people wanted to live alone or with their children, but the overall level of intention to live in an institution was low, among which the influence of individual factors and family factors was more significant. At present, home care is still the mainstream elderly care model in China, and families play an important role in it. Thus, we should continue to consolidate the basic status of home care, improve the service level of socialized elderly care, and promote the development of the "three-in-one" multi-level elderly care service system to actively cope with the aging of the population.

ZHAO Xia, WANG Shou-chuan, XU Shan, DONG Ying-mei, YUAN Hai-xia, LIN Li-li
2022, 23(2): 123-129.
Abstract:
In response to the shortage of pediatricians, many Chinese medicine colleges and universities have been approved to establish undergraduate majors in Chinese medicine pediatrics. However, as a new undergraduate major, the personnel training program of Chinese medicine pediatrics is still in the exploration stage. Thus, the professional training objectives need to be further clarified and the curriculum system needs to be further optimized. Taking Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine as an example, we explore and consider the training program of Chinese medicine pediatrics in terms of establishing professional training objectives and constructing a multi-module curriculum system of "knowledge-practice-ideology and politics", in order to provide new ideas for the training of talents in the new major of Chinese medicine pediatrics.

QIAO Hong-zhi, LIU Zhuo-ya, ZU Qiang, DI Liu-qing
2022, 23(2): 130-135.
Abstract:
Multidisciplinary crossing is the distinctive feature of the third revolution in life science and medicine. The new medical education represented by medical-industrial integration is a new task in front of medical universities and colleges, which is of great significance to the development of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) disciplines. Through analyzing the research achievements, professional settings and talent cultivation characteristics of 25 TCM colleges and universities in China, we found that multidisciplinary crossing education has such problems as insufficient attention, weak foundation, lack of interdisciplinary teaching and research teams, as well as inadequate cultivation system. Thus, we propose the idea of promoting the development of medical-industrial integration education by establishing innovative organization and strengthening discipline construction. In addition, we cite the implementation models and practical experiences of universities and colleges in different regions, and proposes practical ways for TCM colleges and universities to carry out medical and industrial talents training, such as embedding medical and industrial education into the long schooling system and strengthening the practice of innovation and entrepreneurship.
