Abstract: In recent years, the collation of ancient books of Chinese medicine has received great attention from the Party and the government, and has become one of the important tasks in the development of Chinese medicine. Thus, experts and scholars have paid extensive attention to this work and conducted in-depth research, forming a multidisciplinary collaboration in the collation of ancient books and publishing a series of ancient works. However, there are still problems related to ancient books, such as difficulties in researching and utilizing, uneven quality in publishing, weak capacity in digital collation, as well as the lack of high-level editors and proofreader. In view of this situation, we should put more efforts in strengthen the propaganda of the importance of ancient books collation through formulating relevant regulations, continuously improving the collation quality, vigorously training editors and proofreaders, and enhancing multidisciplinary collaboration to promote the high quality of ancient books collation in Chinese medicine.
