Abstract:
The earliest copy of the
Essentials from the golden cabinet, one of the classical works of Chinese medicine, is the
New formulas compilation of Essentials from the golden cabinet by Deng Zhen in the Yuan dynasty. There is no record of Deng Zhen's information in history, but there is some relevant information recorded in the preface of the
Essentials from the golden cabinet, which has not been confirmed before. It is found that Deng Zhen's preface contains information about his secondary personal name, native place, clan designation, and gentility.
