Abstract: Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, Chinese medicine has been extensively involved with remarkable efficacy, which has led to the consideration and discussion of the modern value and development of it by academics, media and the public. From the perspective of cultural confidence, its value and positioning can be analyzed from the following three dimensions. First, from the perspective of cultural inheritance, promoting Chinese medicine culture is an important gateway to open the treasury of Chinese civilization, and the inheritance and promotion of Chinese medicine culture is a pioneer in the revival of Chinese civilization. Second, from the perspective of cultural innovation, promoting the connection and integration of Chinese medicine with modern science and technology plus with culture, and strengthening its role as a link between traditional culture and real life can help establish a new system of Chinese culture based on health practice. Last, from the perspective of cultural communication, promoting Chinese medicine culture is to contribute Chinese wisdom and provide Chinese solutions for the development of world health. Thus, treating Chinese medicine culture as a pioneer in spreading Chinese culture will be promising.
