Abstract:
Jingfang represent the profound essence of ancient Chinese medicine, embodying its return to fundamentals while revealing contemporary relevance. In recent years, these formulas have regained prominence, becoming a frequent topic in both academic discourse and clinical practice within traditional Chinese medicine. Objectively speaking, jingfang possesses a standardized knowledge system, evidence-based application characteristics, and advantages in knowledge dissemination through mutual exchange. These traits align with the logical progression of human knowledge from empirical forms to theoretical frameworks, and ultimately to theoretical-empirical models. It is proposed that the exploration of development based on the knowledge characteristics of jingfang can be carried out from the following aspects: returning to the classical theories of jingfang and establishing knowledge graphs; constructing research paradigms for classical formulas and strengthening interpretive capabilities; optimizing the evaluation system of jingfang and emphasizing the dissemination of their concepts. An epistemological reflection and discussion of the "jingfang fever" can provide valuable insights into the paradigms and pathways for the modern construction of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge.
