Abstract:
Health cooperation between China and Morocco is a long-standing feature of their bilateral relations and an important component of overall cooperation, playing a positive role in advancing bilateral ties. This cooperation was initiated in 1975 and has developed for nearly five decades. During this time, cooperation mechanisms have been continuously improved, areas of collaboration have steadily expanded, notable progress has been achieved in traditional medicine, and digital health has emerged as a new growth point. However, challenges remain, including the lack of in-depth strategic alignment, limited participation from market and social actors, and barriers to pharmaceutical industry collaboration. In the new context, China and Morocco need to promote the transformation and upgradation of health cooperation by deepening strategic alignment in the health sector, diversifying the actors involved, and strengthening pharmaceutical industry cooperation, with the aim of building a China-Morocco Health Community.
