Abstract:
The construction and development of the modern acupuncture and moxibustion discipline is in line with the founding and development of the Chengjiang School, and cannot be separated from the efforts of the founder of the "Chengjiang School", Mr. Cheng Dan'an, and his disciples Qiu Maoliang and Yang Jiasan. Since the early 1930s, the development of modern acupuncture and moxibustion discipline can be roughly divided into four stages, namely, the rudiment of the discipline being conceived in the early Republic of China, modern higher education after the founding of New China giving birth to the discipline construction, international communication after the 1970s promoting the leapfrog development of the discipline, and the in-depth development of the discipline after the 21st century. Retrospecting the construction and development process of modern acupuncture and moxibustion discipline also provides a reference for the future development of acupuncture and moxibustion medicine.
