Abstract: Based on the new situation of psychological education in colleges and universities in China's new times, this paper analyzes the existing problems on psychological education in colleges and universities. It points out that the effective development of psychological education is restricted by copying the western academic system, ignoring the differences between Chinese and western culture, valuing individuals over groups and constructing insufficiently in the work of teaching staff. Therefore, it proposes that the theoretical system of psychological education in colleges and universities should take self-confidence and self-reliance as the principles, cultivate the New Generation as the mission and socialist culture with Chinese characteristics as the foundation. Finally, there are four practical paths to complete the college and university psychological education system with Chinese characteristics: focusing on the "Three-All education", strengthening the construction of the teacher team, highlighting the psychological characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine and utilizing fully digital technology.
