Abstract:
ChatGPT, recognized as the most powerful natural language processing tool of the current era, garnered widespread attention upon its release. This essay focuses on the application of GPT in the international Chinese medicine education, examining the developmental opportunities it presents in enhancing personalized learning experiences, precisely matching course requirements, and facilitating cross-cultural communication and understanding. While this innovative technology promotes the modernization of international Chinese medicine education, it also leads to students' over-reliance on artificial intelligence, posing challenges such as constraining the development of critical thinking, hindering the internalization of knowledge, and causing biases due to data inaccuracies. In response, educators should strengthen critical thinking training for students, foster deep learning and knowledge internalization, and establish comprehensive review and verification mechanisms to potential negative impacts brought by ChatGPT.
