Abstract:
The Comprehensive recording of divine assistance: Pediatric chapter is a collection of the great works of pediatric medicine before the Northern Song dynasty. Through studying the
Pediatric chapter, we find that the dosage of prescriptions for children is closely related to the disease, medicine nature as well as age, and another important factor is the dosage form of the prescription. The number of dosage forms in the
Pediatric chapter was further enriched than that of the previous generation, with 31 types, of which the most used were pills and powder. The variety of dosage forms provides the possibility of refining the dosage of prescriptions for children. In line with the dosage form, the unit of measurement of prescription dosage also shows the characteristics of visualization and diversification. In addition to metric units, many analog quantity units were also used, including 19 kinds for pills. The study of the dosage of prescriptions in the
Pediatric chapter is beneficial to the study of the dose-effect relationship of prescriptions for children, which is of certain significance to the modern clinical use and dosage of prescriptions for children, and also has certain value to enrich the literature of prescription studies.
