Construction and Practice of the Training System of Core Emergency Response Capacity for Nurses in Dealing with Public Health Emergencies—Take Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine as an Example

    Abstract
  • Public health is the core of current national security, and nurses play an important role in epidemic prevention and control, as well as life-saving treatment. In order to improve the core capacity of nurses in responding to public health emergencies, and to address the current problems in the cultivation of nursing talents in China's universities, we explored and put forward the teaching concept of "demand-oriented, ability-strengthening, and public health service" by taking Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine as an example. Besides, with the core capacity training goal of "strengthening capacity in normal times for better responding to emergencies in times of epidemic", this study focuses on the core capacity of nurses in responding to public health emergencies, constructs a nursing core capacity training system, and carries out comprehensive nursing practice capacity reform to provide reference for enhancing the core capacity training for nursing undergraduates in dealing with public health emergencies.
