近代来粤医学传教士对结石病的研究

摘要: 近代来粤医学传教士将西方的结石治疗术传入广东，他们对广东泌尿系结石病的病因、流行分布及成分等做了详细研究，并在长期治疗中不断总结经验，改进手术方法，改良手术器械，推动了医学的发展。另一方面，传教士通过使用这种优于中医的独门技术来彰显西医的先进性，欲使民众更加信服西医及其背后的基督教文化。他们带来了新的技术，一定程度上促进了中国医学的现代化。
