Written by Liu Wenshu in Yuan Fu of Northern Song Dynasty,
Su Wen Ru Shi Yun Qi Lun Ao, an introduction to Yunqi, had many engravings, copies or photocopies in Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties and the Republic of China. In Yuan Dynasty, Gulin Shutang co-published it with
Bu zhu shi wen huang di nei jing su wen. From the end of the Muromachi period to the beginning of the Edo period, it spread eastward to Japan, where it was attached great importance by the shogunate and medical practitioners. During the years of Keijang, Motowa, Kwanaga, Shobo and Kwanfumi, it was published and engraved. Japanese scholars also created many related books based on the book, which promoted transmission and inheritance of the original work, and also reflected situation of the study of Yunqi in Japanese academia during this period.
